Pick a Topic

The first step in writing a book is to pick a topic. You should pick a topic for which you are an expert and have something to add. For an Essential formatted book, you should pick a book that is sufficient in scope to become a succinct, focused book of essential knowledge. For example, the Essential10 Guide to Nuclear Physics might be too large a scope, where the Essential10 Guide to Creating a Home Theater might be appropriate.

Pick a Book Type

To publish on Essential10 you will need to pick the type of book you want to write. (Information on book types is available here.) For an Essentials Book, book of poetry, or work of fiction, all you need to do is select that type when upload your book. All publishing packages and options apply to all types of books.
