We do not believe the traditional book format or even hardback or paperbacks books will disappear. As authors ourselves, we hope they never do. However, in the busy world of digital media where there are so many handheld devices and specialized readers, there is a need for a new format of information. Where there is a need there is an opportunity for our authors.

Essential10 Quality

An Essential10 format book is a concise, straight to the point presentation of information. Most Essential10 format books offer the 10 essentials of a topic. Categories of books are the same as traditional books and include how-to, instructional, fiction, humor and more. Essential10 books fill the void between Top-10 lists and Wikipedia listings to full-length books. Quality is assured with the Essential10 Certified Title where authors and books are reviewed coupled with a rating system that allows readers to comment on books they have purchased.

Essential Books™

An Essential Book is any title that does not follow the standard Essential10 format. It may contain a list of 10 essentials or not. It can even be formatted and written in a completely unique style. Whether your book is a novel, humor, self-help, or non-fiction title, you may want to use Essential10 as your gateway to the digital publishing world. All Essential Book authors purchase the same low-cost packages, receive the same high-royalties, and participate in the Essential10 Community.

Essentials Series™

Authors who have an idea for a series may contact Essential10 with a proposal by contacting Author Support. Once accepted into the series program, an author will be expected to develop three Essential10 Book Proposal within 30 days and then publish or sponsor another writer for least one additional book every quarter for two years. Essential Series Authors receive a free Authors Page Upgrade and a listing in the bookstore as an Essential Series.

Author Advocates

Essential10 was founded by authors for authors. This means that we will be advocates for authors who deserve fair compensation for their work. We set the example by providing Author Royalties of 90% of available royalties. We also province complete transparency for our authors with a Royalty Calculator.

Community of Authors, Readers, and Service Providers

Essential10 has created a community for authors, readers, and service providers (e.g., illustrators, copy editors, editors, and ghostwriters) to interact. There are Community Forums for members and service provider promotion pages. Readers can request books and even have dialog with authors.
