This is Level 2 of E10 Sudoku Strategies. If you are just starting out, or are not yet comfortable with the basics of solving a Sudoku puzzle, you should begin with Essential10 Sudoku Strategies, Level 1.

In Level 1, we learned the basics of the game and some easy strategies for solving puzzles, including Singles, Pairs and Locked Candidates. In Level 2 we extend these ideas to include Triples and Quads, and start looking at Fish techniques (X-Wing, Finned X-Wing and Swordfish). These are intermediate techniques that are relatively easy to learn and apply to your games. Many of the concepts presented in Level 2 will help prepare you for the more advanced techniques in Level 3. You should complete this book and be comfortable with all of the strategies here before proceeding on to Level 3 and beyond.
