Betsy Block has been writing all her life. These days, she sneaks it in while her two kids are either at school for an entire day - a rarity - or else watching TV in the other room. No, no, just kidding. She and her children spend every free minute doing educational art projects using recycled materials. They donate all proceeds to charity.
Let’s try this again.
Betsy Block is the author of the critically acclaimed book about changing her family's diet, The Dinner Diaries: Raising Whole Wheat Kids in a White Bread World. “The Dinner Diaries” was Family Circle magazine's Book Pick of the Month and the Progressive Book Club's Staff Pick. It has been featured in Everyday with Rachael Ray, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, and it received a starred review in PublishersWeekly.com. It's said to "read like a novel" and be "laugh-out-loud" funny.
In addition to her book, Betsy has written food features, profiles, restaurant reviews, travel pieces, personal essays, and lifestyle stories for publications such as Wondertime, Cookie, Entrepreneur, Natural Health, NPR Online's Kitchen Window column, Epicurious.com, The Boston Globe, Boston magazine, and the online city guides Sidewalk and CitySearch, as well as many other local publications.
She lives near Boston with her husband, two kids, any number of wilting or dying plants, some guppies and a dwarf hamster that's like an adorable animated character come to life except he bites. Isn’t that so typical? You can find her at www.dinnerdiaries.com.
